Ellicott City Old Town Market: A Beautiful & Bountiful Flag Day, A Guest Chef, Music, Locally Grown Vegetables, Plants & More!

6/20/2014

It was a beautiful and bountiful Flag Day at the Ellicott City Old Town Market on Saturday, June 14! We had music at both locations, a guest chef, and the season's freshest veggies, baked goods, cheeses, meats, goods & more!
Greenway Farms' six weeks at the Ellicott City Old Town Market's Tonge Row location came to an end. We'll miss Kristen Heally and her beautiful Greenway Farms' annuals, vegetable and herb plants.  Coming in on the summertime breeze is Pong's Orchard, starting on June 21.  Pong's Orchard is known for its Citrus trees, vegetable & herb plants, and lovely, tasty and juicy fruit!
Kicking off the Ellicott City Old Town Market's Guest Chef Series was Matt Milani who demonstrated how to infuse the flavors of fresh vegetables, such as green beans and corn, into delicious dishes!

Jared Denhard, a local Howard County musician and a member of the Celtic band, O'Malley's March, kept the market patrons on the Courtyards of Tonge Row captivated by strumming his Celtic harp, Vintage Ukelele and Early American Gourd Banjo!
Duo Matt Smith & Debby Greene gave another wonderful performance at the Ellicott City Old Town Market Uptown at the Wine Bin this past Saturday!
This music video clip is of Matt Smith's solo performance with an audio clip of a special guest vocalist, Danny Lee Lasswell, who sang a song by the late great Elvis Presley!

Matt donates all tips to the Howard County Food Bank!
